The Weekend

We had big plans for this weekend. I began to feel a little overwhelmed between all the things that had to get done and the things we wanted to do.  There was getting the car fixed, grocery shopping, visiting Dustin, a church dinner, bowling (this is all Saturday's plan).  Then there was church and Dustin for dinner, a movie and studying.

We did two of these things. We went grocery shopping and we went to the church dinner. I think that movie is calling my name tonight...if the bed doesn't get me first.

Carlina White

Have you heard of Carlina White? What an incredible story. She was born just a couple of months before me.

There are so many missing pieces to this story that the article cannot address yet but I will continue to follow it. It's sad she has not felt like she was a part of her family for so long but now she knows why.

Amazing.

An IKEA Family

We love IKEA! I even like how long it takes to get through the maze. I could live there...no really, I could! Mr. H spoiled me with an afternoon of IKEA this Saturday to find a new TV stand and bookshelf.

But here is where I need your help. Hiding cords! I have a couple of blankets that match the color of the room but do you see how above the DVD player and PS3 we have cords still visible? Problem.

A Year in Review

I am now realizing I have neglected the family blog to improve my photography business and new crafty blog. Don't take the lack of posts here as we aren't doing anything fun. It's been a whole year of fun.

We started the year off right by getting engaged. That was more of Mr. H's doing since he completely surprised me! What a great New Year I had.

I finished my last semester at the Y while Mr. H finished up at LDS BC.

We were hitched in June.

And spent time in Vail, CO for the mooning...Honeymooning that is. We also had a second reception in TX with family in TX.

I work for a program called WhyTry where we help organizations with dropout prevention.

We moved into our first apartment (which I have been living in since April). And throughout the year we have been working on making it more homey.

We joined Mr. H's family at Lake Powell in August.

We had our first Thanksgiving together in CO with Mr. H's family.

We spent Christmas in TX with my family. Here is our first tree!

And here we are again at another new year. Crazy! I can't believe we started this little adventure over a year ago now when Mr. H asked me out on our first date.
